Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Farmers Arms

As you enter this locals' pub, there is a small room to the left from where a couple of steps lead down to a larger room split by a fireplace. There are plenty of TVs, a game machine and free wifi. The TVs were playing old music, perhaps more for the benefit of the landlord than the customers. Furniture was rather mis-matched. To the rear is an outdoor drinking area.

The handpulls have been removed from here now leaving a keg selection of Guinness, John Smith's, Strongbow, Strongbow Dark Fruit, Cruzcampo, Carling, Moretti, Madri, Heineken, Fosters & Coors.

The Farmers Arms has a small front bar area with seating in the window and a counter that supports standard keg and Birra Moretti. There is a dartboard and the main bar is a down a few steps towards the rear. Here San Miguel is also available alongside two hand pumps. TT Landlord was available from the operating pump. Televisions are located throughout and there was a quiz in progress during my visit on a Wednesday evening in December. This is a comfortable pub, but it really isn’t that big so will get cosy at busy times.

The Farmers Arms is a fairly decent looking pub with mock tudor upper half, the pub is on the main manchester road and opposite victoria park.
Once inside the pub had a couple of rooms that i noticed,i had a drink in a fairly smart lounge which was quite comfortable.
When i went in this pub it was a Boddingtons tied house and there was one real ale on the bar which was Boddingtons bitter and this was a very nice drink.
I thought this was a nice enough pub to sit in and relax over a pint.
