The Empress was a proper old pub that was in the shopping area of cheetham hill.
Once inside the pub was fairly basic and a bit run down but i thought it was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.
The pub still had its Chesters signs outside and there were two real ales on the bar inside, these were Chesters bitter and this was a decent drink and Boddingtons bitter.
It is sad to see that this pub has now closed down.
