An unspoilt back street pub with a strong local following but a slightly run-down feel. Two bars, featuring some nice original features, with a garden at the rear. Beers from Wells were a bit unexciting however and not in great condition, despite Cask Marque accreditation. Could be really good with little effort or could equally be modernised and ruined.

A large backstreet pub, the bar is central, one side is boarded, the other carpeted. There is a tiled fireplace, various pub mirrors, a side room contains a functional dartboard. The rear area has a bar football table and a stand up video game, walls are covered with football memorabilia from all sorts of teams. Board games on a ledge A rear garden has decking.
Beers were Robinson's Pint of Thrones, Charles Wells Eagle IPA x2, Rosies Pig cider and reversed Courage Directors. Sadly there was a wake going on so the pub was full of mourners so further exploration really didn't seem appropriate. The buffet looked good though. RIP whoever you were pal.
