Now rather overtly an Irish bar - a blackboard as you enter proclaims that "Live Sport Shown Here Weekly" comprises Soccer, Football, Horse Racing and GAA. Several screens dotted around a room already well-described below (some on, some off), with the addition of a pool table at the far rear right plus dartboard. No real ale - a single stump was unclipped: a 500ml bottle of Fuller's London Pride was £3.60. My weeknight visit found raised and colourful Irish accents, which may have accounted for the on-the-ball barmaid's decision to turn up Heart FM to a slightly uncomfortable level (although, ashamedly, I did find myself tapping a foot along to a Rihanna song whilst scribing this). As Al mentions, it's there as you exit Turnpike Lane Tube - up to you whether you choose to venture inside or not.

The Wellington is on the opposite corner to Turnpike Lane tube station.
It looks like a single story pub from the outside,i was not expecting too much from this pub but it was there so had to be done.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room which runs to the rear, the bar is on the front right side, the room is bare boarded the seating bench type and normal tables and chairs, there is a small stage on the right side.
There were no real ales on the bar which was no surprise,i had a drink of keg Worthington Cream flow which was pretty crap.
There were a few TVs showing horse racing.
A pretty poor pub that was almost empty on my Thursday dinner visit.

I walked past this today and it was clearly open. There was a blackboard outside advertising them showing some boring sporting event or other and Karaoke. Despite being unable to contain my excitement at this prospect I carried on to Turnpike Lane tube to get back to familiar surroundings.

Note the pictures showing a Burger King are the original Watney's pub building which is now a Costa Coffee. The current Wellington is in Turnpike Lane on the West side of the original pub.

I should have known when I saw the disco lights blazing through the windows at 18:00 on a Tuesday evening. The camp barman singing along to X Factor confirmed that I had walked into a gay bar. Thankfully he and the 2 other punters were very friendly – Not too friendly mind!

There is limited seating around the walls and plenty of standing/dancing room. There is also a pool table towards the back of the bar, but I can't envisage any reason why I would ever find myself in here again to play on it.
