This is a large pub with a pool table and dartboard in the front bar area and a larger bare room to the rear that has another dartboard and a large projector screen on the back wall which I’d imagine is used to air the football on Sky Sports. The greatest hits of UB40 were blasting out on Saturday night and I was glad to finish my pint on one of the many picnic tables out the front in an area enclosed by railings and next to a busy main road.

There is a standard draught selection and the Guinness was good, it’s just a shame that both of the women serving saw me waiting at the bar and one continued cleaning and the other totally ignored me until I walked around the bar and stood directly in front of her. It was also a shame that some of the locals were moronic types that most decent people spend their lives trying to avoid.

This place may be good for watching sport (although I didn't see any ads for Sky Sports), but I’ll not be seen in here again in a hurry.
