Strongers . left this review about The Admiral Mann
This pub is down a small side road so I would imagine that there is not much passing trade. There was a digger outside here when I visited a couple of Saturday nights ago so I was pleased to see an ‘open for business as usual’ sign on the door, but as I entered I was confronted by and empty bar with no bar persons present. I noted the presence of a dartboard and switched off plasma screen and that the bar had two unused hand pumps with a third hand pump that was drawing Country Bitter. I heard some subdued laughter and wandered towards the rear of the pub where I found the back bar where ten or so regulars were in conversation with each other and the friendly governor. Again there were two unused hand pumps alongside Country Bitter and a standard draught range from which I enjoyed a well pulled Guinness. This rear bar is a little bigger than the front one and there is another dartboard and a second plasma screen that was airing Magic FM, but not very loud.
I liked it in here and hopefully there was only one ale available due to the renovation that was in progress. I will make a point of popping back in here to have a look once the work has finished.
