Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Boot
This is a nicely appointed pub but seems to be primarily for diners. There is a large dining room which was busy on my Saturday evening visit and some smaller lounge areas. A TV was showing the England Six Nations game but very few were watching. I chose to sit in a small snug at the far end. This was rather strange in that it had plenty of seating around the room but no tables at all. A central fireplace with a wood burner dominated the room and it was decorated with red wallpaper above red painted wainscotting. A car park to the rear of the building was overflowing and there also appeared to be an outdoor patio there.
Landlord is the regular cask ale. London Pride was a guest. Both were double clipped across the 4 handpulls. Neck Oil was on keg with Cornish Orchards Golden being the cider. I can't say I warmed to this one. It wasn't helped by being ignored for service when I arrived, a young barman tending to hundreds of empty glasses instead of serving, or perhaps he was simply a glass collector/washer. A bit of a disappointment overall though.
