A first in here and I'd be very hard pushed to describe this as a pub with its eclectic furniture painted pastel colours, bottles of lurid-coloured alcopops behind the bar and magazine interviews papered all over the place.
It's full of trendies/hipsters/students; most in here were young enough to be my children. Service was dire and despite not being busy, I was overlooked at least twice; staff busied themselves cutting up citrus fruit for cocktails, which seem to be the mainstay of trade here. After waiting an age I was aggressively barged out of the way by some imbecile so having had enough, we went in search of something better than this. Needless to say, I won't be returning. Ever.
For the record ales on offer were Hawkshead Brewery's Bitter, Arbor's Montueka, Great Heck's Washington Red and Arcadia Ales' Cereal Killer Breakfast IPA.

A large imposing building on the exterior, once inside I found this to be one of the most darkest (light-wise) pubs I have ever been in ,the windows were shuttered against the fading daylight allowing the candlelit tables to create the atmosphere,a rather bizarre barmaid added to the scene. It was pub 13 of a 15 pub crawl so details are a little hazy to say the least. Four ales were available, two cocks Cavalier,London Pride, a house beer and another I cannot now recall the names of. An interesting place and I will revisit at some point.
