Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Builders Arms
Fair-sized corner pub with an imposing curved brewer's Tudor frontage. The interior features two main rooms on either side of the triangular counter, with the short front servery facing a blocked-up door that was presumably used for off sales in earlier days. The interior initially appears quite plain, but as you look around there still quite a few 1930s elements remaining - mostly in rather austere dark wood (such the wood panelling and screens) or even darker brick (e.g. fireplaces). Little in the way of decor and basic (mostly semi-modern) furniture, supplemented by a few wooden benches out front. Did start re-doing cask ale at one stage, but no longer unfortunately, so it was a quick John Smith's (£1.55, half) before moving on.
