No cask. Keg offering of Guinness, Stella and the AF version, Corona, Mahou, Camden quadruple of Hells, Pale, Eazy and IPA, Kopparberg crisp apple cider, Becks, Bud Light, Modelo and Hoergarden.

Paved seating area at the front with picnic benches popular on my early sunny evening visit. Inside the venue is bare boarded with the bar counter along the rear of the wall to the right-hand side of the venue, with some tall stool seating along the length of the bar counter. There is a pool table in the rear right hand corner and then a raised area to the right of the entrance with red leather studded banquettes around the outside thereof serving regular tables. Similar story regarding the seating in the front middle part of the venue and then over to the left hand side is a large seating area with regular tables and chairs plus some large semi-circular booth tables along the left-hand wall, the area essentially a pizza restaurant called Little Nero's Pizza (there was quite a few in on my visit enjoying their wares). There is a large beer garden out the rear, plenty of covered and uncovered seating, the exit from the pub and the entrance to the beer garden being overseen by one of the original signages from the long-gone Walthamstow dog track. There is a shed load of memorabilia on the walls, ceilings, including quite a few beer related neon signs. Would find the venue a bit too visually full on for anything other than a swift half!

Tris C left this review about The Dog & Duck

The Dog & Duck would appear to be a mid-19th century pub, probably rebuilt and the result of a refurbishment from 2017.
This is a large, rambling affair with a split level to the right-hand side. The interior is modern, in a slightly and intentionally distressed manner, with a scuffed bare floor, white tiled bar back, pictures of film stars, illuminated brewery signs from Bass to Budweiser and hanging football shirts. Furniture is conventional and customers were unsurprisingly local, mixed in age and in good spirits, possibly buoyed up by the good Madness compilation soundtrack playing at the time of my Friday 9.00pm visit.
There’s no cask, so it was a half of Camden IPA, £3.60, served by a friendly barmaid.
With a slightly 'dive bar' theme this place was better than expected, judging from the two previous reviews from over nine years back; a decent cask offering could kick the place into the slot marked ‘average’, but at least it’s something different.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Dog & Duck

The Dog and Duck is situated on the Northern edge of Walthamstow.
Once inside there is a single L shaped room with the bar facing, there is a small raised area to the front right, there is a stage to the left which had darts boards and a pool table on it,there was a large screen to the front showing football.
There were no real ales on the bar,the keg option was the really crap John Smiths Extra Cold Crap which lived up to its name.
This is a pretty poor pub so no surprise that we were the first PG reviewers to venture into here.

Pretty basic interior with a large raised stage to the lefthand side which also houses two darts boards.Open plan with few features to note, most punters were watching Setanta live footie, screening a 3pm kick off via a studio in Dublin.
The bar at the back had two handpumps but no real ale and the keg options were the usual dross.
Nothing much to tempt a revisit
