There’s no real ale available, with just keg John Smith’s and Courage Best being the only bitters available. There was no sign of food or menus when I popped in on Wednesday afternoon.

This is a medium sized one-room pub, with the only notable features being the two large projector screens, presumably to show najor sporting events. The paintwork is in need of a little TLC, and the furnishings, which are a standard mix of banquettes and tables and chairs, have seen better days. Fruit and games machines abound; there are a few black and white photographs on the walls, and that’s about it.

This has all the looks of a standard unpretentious locals’ pub – there were just a couple of obvious regulars in when I visited. It was open when I passed by so obviously I dropped in, but I expect that it will be my only visit.
