No cask. Keg offering of Appleshed dark fruits cider, Carlsberg, Estate Lager, Peroni, Fosters, Guinness, Moretti, Heineken, Mahou and Camden Hells. There were a trio of wine taps dispensing Sauvignon Blanc, Pale Rose and Merlot.
Quirky pub. Front part has bar counter on left-hand wall with some tall stool seating on a small bare board skirt on the front side and the tall stool seating on the other side on the same carpet as in the rest of the space. There are a few tall tables and tall backed stools and then some small tables against the wall opposite the main length of the bar counter served by very ornate carver chairs. The rear room houses a pool table and a dart board in a boarded flooring with the same very ornate chairs and the two-seater version serving a series of small tables dotted around the perimeter. Ornate ceiling lighting and generally a quite cosy vibe. The screen was tuned into 80’s pop videos with the volume at a decent level, which was very enjoyable on my relatively short visit. Definitely a curious venue driven by the ornate furniture!
