No draught beer. Variety of bottled beer.
Corner venue. Clearly a former pub but now a food / music bar. L shaped venue and the bar counter follows the inside wall. Stools around the bar and all the punters in on my visit were sitting at the bar. Regular tables and chairs around the perimeter. Classy reggae soundtrack playing on my visit.

There’s no real ale here, and no sign of food. In fact not much sign of anything, other than a pool table and bogstandard lagers. The barmaid was really friendly though, and that’s a big plus in my book, and in her case, working in this pub, must be a testament to the triumph of the human spirit over the vicissitudes of life. Good for her!
This pub is one open area, with some sofas and tables and chairs round the sides and with just open space between them and the bar counter. There’s no decor, unless you count the flashing fairy lights on the bar back. It doesn’t really have anything to recommend it other than the original Taylor Walker & Co green tiled exterior, and the friendly barmaid. I’m unlikely to visit again.
