A solid looking building, the various front doors hint at a previous three room layout, these days the sections are still distinct but opened out. There is a sun trap beer terrace to the front and decent brown glazed tiling to the exterior of the pub, enter through the right hand door to the tap room, then sraight ahead to a section with an impressive fireplace ,while the interior winds around to a further side section.Furniture is traditional ,but the flatscreens detract from the local pub feel.Food is available as well as letting rooms.
Four handpumps were offering Rebellion IPA and Smugglers,Portobello Westway Pale and a decent Adnams Ghost Ship (NBSS 3.5).Given the lack of real ale in the close by pubs ,this is worth including on a crawl but is not a destination pub in itself.

Modernised with little ambiance about it maybe partly because it was virtually deserted on Saturday afternoon visit. There was one girl serving chatting to a mate and one other fella watching Sky Sports news on the flat screen. I was disappointed to see that three of the five handpumps had turned clips, one bare leaving the solitary cask option of Marlow Rebellion IPA which to be fair was in good shape. The service was prompt at the bar but despite the lack of other customers there was a table close to me with several plates of a finished meal that remained uncleared for the whole duration of my 25 minute or so stay and although not attracting the barstaffs attention, it certainly was of several flys. Can't say I'll be back to this one.

This has been smartened up and is a nice modern L shaped pub with the back room for dining.Bare brick and tiled walls .Rear outside area.Nice friendly barman who new a bit about beer.5 cask beers on from Twickenham,Eton and Windsor and Portobello none of which appealed to me.Had a tin of Dark Star -lager as it was going cheap.Very good I thought.

There was green and white (Guinness funded?) St Patrick’s Day decorations everywhere when I was in there on Monday. I’ve nothing against St Patrick’s Day, but the amount here seemed a bit overpowering. There were four handpumps on the bar, but only one was in use, and that was dispensing London Pride. The main bar seems very basic, bare-boarded, with a few tables and chairs, but with a large open area, presumably to allow upright drinking I suppose. A smaller connected bar area on the right had a couple of dartboards, but little else. As you go through the bar, on the left at the back there is another seating area. There was a pole attached to one of the posts in the main bar area with a dozen or so pump clips attached to it, suggesting a guest ale policy; shame there was no other evidence of such a policy during my visit. I didn’t find anything special enough about this pub to warrant a return visit.
