Hotel bar on Watling Street, the servery dominates with two wings, the roadside area with circular tables, some leather sofas which the rear section has a few dining type tables, used by hotel guests at meal times but with a pool table at the far end.
There are 5 large flatscreens for Sky and BT sport, while the bar opens at 7.30am daily for coffee and breakfast. The hotel rooms start at £50,but it does feel basic with no original features on display. The corridor to the loos allows access to a scruffy set of pic nic benches on a patio off the large carpark, mainly used by smokers.
Two handpumps offering St Austell Tribute and a reversed London Pride clip, there is some Leeds United memorabilia on display in the front area.Maybe somewhere to catch televised sport but a rather mundane ale selection and little else of note, despite a friendly welcome.

A tired old building inside and out, this has a central, horseshoe-shaped, wood-panelled servery which offered Sharp's Doom Bar as its solitary ale. A stone bar apron follows the wraps around the bar, a green-patterned carpet is the flooring and upholstered bench seating runs around half of the periphery. There's also a pool table in an extended area beyond the bar and B&B accommodation is available.
