Small bar with bare plaster makes it seem a bit unfinished.Cult films projected onto a white cloth background gave it a modern feel.Still no real ale but Brooklyn -lager on keg is no hardship to me.Only a few customers but okay atmosphere.

The Holy Drinker is a long and thin venue with a small bar at the front with limited wall seating and more seating down some steps at the rear of the bar. There is more seating up some steps at the back of the building where access is gained to the toilets. There are no televisions and some reggae music was playing during my early Friday evening visit a couple of weeks ago.
The bar supports four draught products which were Budweiser, Brooklyn Brewery, Guinness and Aspalls cider. There is also a decent selection of bottled ales, lagers, wheat beers and ciders.
I found the barman to be very friendly and although this bar is very basic I was able to get comfortable. There were only four other customers so this may not be the case later in the evening when busier.
Reverse happy hour is held between 21:00 and 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. I’m not sure what this is, but I’d like to think that the drinks get more expensive.
I liked it in here, but this was more down to the music than the bar. I would consider revisiting on another sunny afternoon for a relaxing pint.
