This is quite a homely locals' pub on the main road in Plumstead. It's comfortable, being carpeted, furnished with upholstered fixed bench seating and normal tables and chairs. It's a single room now, with the room stretching back past the servery on the right to an area containing a pool table. There is some nice wood panelling on the walls, but unfortunately painted a sort of blue/aquamarine colour, a large map of the old Woolwich area on the wall, plus as Christmas is only five weeks away there were Santa's stockings attached to a mantlepiece.
Perhaps surprisingly for a previously unreviewed pub, this one does sell real ale - predictably London Pride and Doom Bar, with the Pride being in good condition. It's an ordinary sort of pub, but there's nothing wrong with that. It's not a destination pub, but worth dropping in for a swift one if you're in Plumstead.
