This is a very small one-room wedge shaped pub. There is no real ale, nor any food or menus on show although there were some bowls of peanuts on the bar counter. There’s a cheap carpet on the floor, small round wooden tables, and dark brown plastic covered banquettes and small stools. A small stage in the wedge end corner is probably used for music. There really is very little else to say about this pub.

There were a handful of locals at the bar chatting away and enjoying their John Smith’s, and good luck to them I say. This place doesn’t have much character, but it is still trading and was open when I was passing, the service was friendly (it’s some while since a barmaid called me darling), so it does have a few pluses. But it’s obviously anything but a destination pub – the lack of a real ale is a big minus for me, but that’s just my personal opinion.
