Close to the station entrance, circular room, bit scruffy and very busy due to the location

Have used this one a couple of times over the last few months primarily due to its proximity to the new Tooley Street exit of the expanded London Bridge train station.
As Mr Fastard mentions below its striking blue traditional pub exterior now stands out against all the modernisation of the area and is inviting from the outside.
Inside, although the single room space that wraps around the central island bar is not the most exciting of experiences, I’ve always found it comfortable with good service levels and the permanent Southwark Brewing London Pale Ale is usually reliably good, as it was again last week, which is a fortunate thing as the two other available ales tend to be from Sharps ( Doombar and Solar Wave as they were last week). Yes it can be noisy when full but the converse is that it doesn’t take many in to give the place some atmosphere and as my visits have tended to be during lunchtime the noise levels have been warming rather than obtrusive. It’s not a bad option, especially if you are travelling via London Bridge station.

One of the few proper pubs around Tooley Street, among a sea of modern bars and eateries below London Bridge station. There is an island bar with handpumps and mainstream keg taps dotted about, the furniture to the side is traditional if a little worn and the main feature are very high ,fully glazed windows giving lots of natural light.Noisy when popular despite being carpeted throughout, there are many seats outside but you will be served with a plastic mug for this area.I chose glass inside and had a choice of Doom Bar,Adnams Ghost Ship and Southwark LPA,a decent drop (NBSS 3).
Better than I thought it was going to be,a decent place for a pint if passing.

Rather better than I had expected from previous write-ups, the interior is well described by others. It was certainly busy when we visited, a pleasant and convivial buzz about the place. This meant it took a long time to get served, but the beer was OK and it was an enjoyable session, if a little pricey. Several pints of London Pale and Ghost Ship were consumed and these were in decent condition. Happy to pop in here again, and it’s a good place to meet up prior to an evening’s libation.

Dating from 1792 but rebuilt in 1894, this is much as described below. I agree with John in that the interior is rather bland, despite being on CAMRA’s heritage list of having an interior of Some Regional Importance, the item here being the fantastic polychromatic tiled mural of shipwrights at work on the Thames to a former lobby.
Quite traditional, the interior is carpeted, which is unusual for the area. There’s an old-school landlady, with little communication possible due to the insistence on Perspex plague screens, with drinking not permitted at the bar; all a bit impersonal.
Ales: Doom, Bermondsey’s London Pale ale and Best at a very reasonable £2.25 a half and nice.
This place is ok, but the Perpetual Perspex over vaccination choice is a bit of a deterrent to returning.

Quite a basic interior although there is some nice tiling with an Island bar that serves 6 real ales.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Shipwrights Arms

Somewhat cramped pub, with a substantial square island bar in the centre but limited room on each of the four sides. As you would expect, the decor has a nautical theme but the stand-out feature is an impressive tiled picture of a old shipyard scene just inside the side door. Can get very busy after work or when there is a big football match on the large screens, but the service is usually fairly efficient. Two banks of three handpumps at opposite ends of the island bar, and on this visit I found Doom Bar and Coaster (£4.35) from Sharp's and Brakspear Bitter available at the front, plus Harvey's, Ghost Ship and a duplicate at the back.

A stunning exterior gives way to a less interesting interior, the only feature of note inside is a tiled mural of a dockyard scene from a few centuries ago. Is a large single room with high a ceiling, the floor is carpeted. The large central island bar has two banks of three handpumps, all were in use but had a very uninspiring selection,Doom Bar was doubled up,Deuchars IPA,St Austell Tribute,Adnams Southwold and Brakespeare Bitter, the latter was as expected very average. With a better beer range I would be tempted back, but as it stands probably not.

Slightly scruffy pub with central bar taking up a lot of space means it gets very busy being close to London Bridge & the Shard and with only standard beers available not really worth a special effort.
