Quinno _ left this review about Bay Hotel
A pub with many a fond memory, being my regular watering hole between the age of 16-18. It was a great big place, clearly built to house the tourists that were meant to disembark at the pier in the 1800's. Alas by the mid 90's when I went there it was towards the end of a slow decline. The interior was a big long bar, which had kept a few of the original Victorian features, but the main part of the interior had a late 70's refurb-feel, dark wood and green velveteen seating. The bay window at the end held a nice view of the Severn. There was a room off to the right with a pool table. Occasionally the bottom bar was used for live music and gigs. The jukebox was pretty good too. No real ale, Newcastle Brown and Caffreys territory here. The end was nigh by the end of late 90's, when the local loonies ended up seemingly running the place and scrapping every night. Meant that I was forced to expand my horizons, so for that I am grateful.
