Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Rack & Tenter

Like so many bars around Moorgate, this Marston's pub is somewhat hidden away under a office block and thus a bit difficult to spot from any distance. Inside, it has a modern layout with the obligatory (and annoying) high tables. There is a two-part conservatory, one section permanent and the other which is opened out in good weather. Several silent TVs showing live sport. Also has a few tables between the columns at the front, but a better bet is the reasonably-sized patio garden at the back. Four beers on handpump - EPA, Brakspear Bitter, Pedigree and East Kent Golding single hop on this visit. Little in the way of character, but you can do a lot worse around here.

A modern Marston's pub in a busy City pedestrian area. It's a concrete cuboid built into a modern office block, with a nice view of the piazza. It doesn't have a traditional pub feel, but it's a reasonable place for a quick lunch (though the service wasn't the most rapid), although the food isn't that great. Four ales on, Pedigree, Dirty Tackle (left over from the World Cup, I imagine) EPA and Brakspears, all a bit pricey but that's to be expected here. The beer was kept a little too chilled, but it was good enough for a swift pint. It was a bit annoying that the staff solicited tips, but otherwise they were friendly enough. I wouldn't include in an evening crawl, but it's not a bad drop-in for a nose-bag.
