A Greene King pub in the bottom of an office block, featuring traditional décor with leather banquettes, wood panelling and heavy wallpaper. Busy and quite noisy at street level, there is also a large bar in the basement which is quieter and available for private hire. At the back is a patio. les on offer were Truman's Swift and St Austell Tribute along with the usual GK offerings, with condition good. Quite acceptable as a standard city pub.

A pub has existed in this vicinity since at least the mid/late-18th century, the current incarnation was built into the lower ground floor of an office block in 1972.
It's a rather ugly pub, faced in pink granite. Worse, it's a Taylor Walker pub so you rather know what to expect, except that this place has a more limited range of ales than the usual TW outlets. As you'd expect, the floor is part bare boarded and part carpeted. Sport plays on multiple TVs, conventional tables support sauce bottles and pictorial burger menus and there are a few high table/stool combos.
Ales: Sharp's Doom Bar, Greene King's IPA and Truman's Swift at the oddly priced £2.13 - it was fine.
There isn't much around here so rather than look for something else, simply leave the City.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Kings Arms
Typical Taylor Walker house, housed in a very undistinguished building, with the main bar at street level and a smaller lounge below. Regulation furniture and decor on both floors, and a small patio area out the back. Four of five handpumps on the main counter in use - offering the regular 1730 and IPA plus GK London Glory and Tribute (£3.83 with the 10% Camra discount), with Rocking Rudolph on next - plus two duplicated pumps downstairs.

Popular with City drinkers, especially when there is live sport on as they have a number of TV's, including out in the garden. It's a shame the staff can rarely keep up with demand and as the two bars a quite small you end up queuing as in if a shop.

The Kings Arms looks fairly bland from the outside as it is underneath a office block,but once inside the pub was quite smart and comfortable.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of London Pride and this was a decent drink the other beers were GK IPA and Directors,the pub was fairly quiet and i was quite happy having a drink in here while watching the world go by.

Located to the west of Bishopsgate, The Kings Arms is built into the ground floor of a fairly bland office block on Wormwood Street and is therefore not very welcoming from the outside. Fortunately things turn out a bit better inside. A single bar at ground level with decent comfortable seating and decor and you can walk through the pub to the lane beyond and here there is plenty of seating for the smokers.
Four beers on during my visit which were Adnams Best, TT Landlord, Doombar and Youngs Bitter and the Landlord was perfectly fine.
There is also a large basement bar which supports two pool tables and is also equipped with plenty of seating and a couple of leather sofas. This downstairs bar also has a serving area, but this wasn’t operational meaning you had to carry your drinks from upstairs.
