Dating from at least 1861, this was the King’s Head, as evinced by the original name still visible in stucco to the façade.
I had thought that this was going to be some sort of trendy venue, but it isn’t. It’s a large, stripped out place, with the main front largely geared towards vertical drinking. Customers’ and the barman’s appearance gave the impression that I’d entered a drop-in centre, the latter telling me that the venue was closed. At just after 9.00.
This place really isn’t worth the bother, but then nothing is along Fulham Broadway. Avoid.

Weak real ales and usual keg offerings. Nothing special at all. TV showing football.

The boozy Slug and Lettuce has gone - Hurray! In its place is the chic and impressive Broadway Bar and Grill. Combines style, sports and a solid commitment to excellent food, with great service. What a great change!

This is an Aussie pub, just in case you need a hint, look at the flags inside & out and the noice board outside saying 'This is an Aussie pub'. No real ale. Has regular dj sessions.
