I can't add much to the below, though I'd walk a mile for a decent caperberry.
The interior is lacking in décor though is wood panelled with wall lights. The heavily detailed ceiling (probably fibrous plaster) is painted bottle green; furniture is solid and traditional. There are also central columns, possibly cast iron. The overall effect is rather good.
One minor complaint, as mentioned below the kitchen is open and as a result the pub gets rather hot; I'd happily come again but probably not at the height of summer as it must be stifling in here.

This is a gastro pub with a large central bar and wooden tables that line the big windowed exterior walls. There is a kitchen at the back of the bar that is used to conjure up the usual food that is enjoyed by the well heeled young townhouse inhabitants of the area. There is a decent sized and well kept paved garden out the back that is full of deck furniture for use on sunny summer afternoons and there are also some picnic tables that line the two outside walls of this corner pub.
There is a large wine menu and the bar is stocked with plenty of premium lagers and the three hand pumps were drawing Adnams, Brakspear and Spitfire. I opted for a pint of trusty Guinness, which was very good unlike the surly verging on rude service that I received from a young woman on shift – must try harder!
I don’t plan to return here as I’m more of a pint, pork scratchings and a game of darts person, but I wouldn’t want to put anyone off who would enjoy a glass of wine with their Prawn croquettes with caperberries & salad.
