Nearest to Wycombe Wanderers' Adams Park, this is the unofficial away supporters pub on match days. A stripped-out horseshoe shape, there are two front entrances, suggesting a former two-room layout. The floor is a mix of laminate wood (the left-hand side, where a dartboard and pool table reside), and new carpet (centre and right). Three ales - CW Bombardier, Burning Gold and Caledonian Over the Bar. I went for a half of the latter, but the landlord spotted the consistency of the liquid wasn't right, so insisted on pouring it through before serving. When my half came with a vinegary aroma, he apologised, suggested I go for the Bombardier and poured through some to be on the safe side. Not a great venue and surrounds, but the friendly and proactive guv'nor more than made up for it.
