Being opposite Great Portland Street Station, this pub is more of a meeting place than a final destination.

Broadside, Pride, Morrissey Ale and Greene King IPA were all available on my visit, but the Old Speckled Hen was off. There is also a selection of standard lagers, but I stuck to the Pride which was nice enough.

Half of the pub is stand up drinking with a few high tables and the rest is on a small raised level with tables and chairs set out for eating the pub fare. I found the staff to be pleasant enough, but there were a couple large groups of lads that I was glad that I didn't bump into later in the night.

OK for a quick stop off before finding somewhere a little more interesting.

Nice comfortable pub. Has a downstairs bar as well. Sells real ale although the Spitfire tasted a bit watery. Very popular in the evening, but tables can be reserved.
