Komakino . left this review about The Crown Inn
The building has a flintstone façade and is set back from the Amersham Road with a car park out front. This is a GK joint that's had a 'Hungry Horse' style makeover with a central-facing bar and eating area set to the left and behind the bar, although all tables (bar some of the obligatory tall ones) held numerous menus in wooden block holders. A couple of fruit machines and a quizzer occupied the wall to the right of the bar, along with a TV screen (off) between the entrance to the Gents'. Of the five handpumps, three were in operation, with GK IPA, Abbot Ale and Sharp's Sea Fury - the latter of which, at £3.25 a pint was served laughingly too cool. Radio 1-style playlist music played in the background, and despite some scant evidence of a more dignified past, this place has been thoroughly homogenised thanks to those jokers from Bury St Edmunds.
