Steve of N21 left this review about The Cherry Tree
The Cherry Tree is in the centre of Flackwell Heath village on the amusingly named ‘straight bit’.
It looks perfectly normal from the front but is a bit of a strange layout internally.
On entering you find one long space subdivided into three areas, with the bar area to the right in the second section.
The first part for me was the most pleasant, being next to the bay window and having large comfortable sofa seating arranged around a large stone fireplace. But the rest of the pub more resembled drinking and eating in a cellar bar as there is no or very limited natural light at the far end of the pub and the ceiling is very low. The fairly dark décor of Green and crème didn’t help either.
Then beyond the bar there is the entrance to the outside area, which again is a strange arrangement being a covered patio area with what looks like upmarket Gazebos, which is alongside the small car park by the side of the pub.
The bar has the usual chrome fizz tap offerings, but there are three hand pumps. And although nothing special, being CW Bombadier, Brakespear Bitter and London Pride, the Brakespears was a well kept pint.
