David Walton left this review about Adeline Bar @ The Memoir Club

Visited 28/07/25. Visited previously as Number Twelve @ Ambassadors Hotel on 21/02/22.

No cask. Keg offering of L Pride, Guinness, Peroni, Asahi, Meantime Anytime IPA and Cornish Orchards cider.

This feels like a very new refurbishment, indeed there was still work going on in the lobby area as I trundled into the bar area from its own entrance to the right of the reception entrance. There is a small amount of seating outside at the front on what is a busy main road. Inside the bar area is modern bare boarded with the bar counter along the left-hand wall from near the front to the middle rear section. There is a bit of an art deco look not surprisingly, and the bar counter has a white marble top with a gold metallic footrest and attractive swivel red leather stools on gold metal bases. There is a leather banquette in the front windows and some leather bucket chairs opposite the bar counter on a large rug. The middle to rear area has regular tables and chairs laid for diners with another leather banquette along the rear wall serving several small tables with regular chairs the other side thereof. Again, a perfectly pleasant hotel bar in an area with a lot of hotels and a lot of hotel bars!

Typical expensive hotel bar with no real ale at all.

Clive Thompson left this review about Ambassadors Hotel In Bloomsbury

I think this is the bar and restaurant for the Ambassadors Hotel next door. The bar area is only very small and is essentially a waiting area for the restaurant. It's quite comfortable for a quiet drink although I wouldn‘t really recommend it. A pint of Stella will set you back £3.90 and even though I ordered and carried it from the bar they had the cheek to add 12.5% service charge. Plus it was served in a John Smith's Smooth branded glass.
