Soup Dragon left this review about The Victoria Tavern
A detached Victorian looking pub with a beer garden and associated caravan park. The pub building are in cream. Split over two buildings the larger is a cottage-styled building with central entrance and modern leaded windows and there is a small, single storey extension.
The interior has an open-plan single room, although it is near bi-sected by a wall to give something of the original two-room feel back to the pub. The decor has mint green ceiling and walls - the ceiling having beams. There is a patterned carpet and a brick fireplace. The walls have old Victorian prints and photos on them and there are hanging jugs and an old typewriter on the bar for interest. The pub has a pool table. There is a TV, which had the footy scores on and the music was general and at a decent level. The service was very friendly and there were several locals in.
Beer; no real ale, all keg the usual keg drinks with an OK Theakston's MILD
A more than pleasant enough place that simply lacked real ale for my personal taste.
