A one-roomer set back from the road with old-school carpeted floor, high-ceilinged beams and a small entrance-facing bar, offering Sharp's Doom Bar, Fuller's London Pride and Hook Norton Hooky along with Rosie's Pig cider on handpump. Bench seats in the windows either side of the central entrance with two round tables and chairs in the midst of the room. There's a brick wall and fireplace to the left and a room with a pool table to the right and beyond the bar. A bit like a smaller approximation of a old street corner London boozer, complete with waistcoated barman / landlord, albeit a little tired around the edges. Hooky was decent enough and decent value at £3.40 for a pint.
