A detached pub and restaurant that acts as the clubhouse for a camping/caravan park. Whatever the age of the pub part, it now looks modern, in cream, brown windows and a new hipped roof. It actually looks quite plain, but has a patio area and a kid's play area.
There appeared to be a couple of rooms, the one being the restaurant which wasn't open during my daytime visit and i didn't see the room. The bar room is in undressed brick mainly, with a white and beam ceiling - although there is a white annex that has a pool table, dart board and gamimng machings. There were a few TVs, the one showing the news and there was no music. There are some modern general pictures on the walls. The service was really friendly and there were a couple of chatty campers in when i visited some months back.
Beer; no real ale - Elgood's Cambridge Bitter was on keg, along with a decent Tetley Dark MILD.
Happy enough to pop into for one - just lacks real ale for my personal taste. It seems comfy and friendly enough.
