Komakino . left this review about The Crown
The sole survivor in a village that once contained three pubs (the former Sovereign Inn is said to have been located on the site of The Crown's current car park), this has divergent areas within, with a small, rectangular room located at the front of the building serving as a standalone bar area. This has a low ceiling with white-painted beams (sadly, only for show), light walls with third-height wood panelling, a red-tiled floor and a mixture of seating options. A large flatscreen TV lives on the wall at one end of the room and a small trophy cabinet is lit, showcasing a handful of silverware and photos. Despite a Chiltern Brewery sign outside, a three ale line-up was a disappointing choice of Sharp's Doom Bar, Fuller's London Pride and Timothy Taylor Golden Best. A handful of characterful locals around the bar, and some interesting old photos of Granborough along with the aforementioned Sovereign and Red Lion public houses, but overall, punching slightly below its weight which is a shame.
