Traditional alehouse style corner pub although the building is a bit T shaped, one main bar by the side entrance. That is a generally square room with a mixed bunch of furniture and decorated with a big collection of signs of many types. To the right is another sitting room with wicker furniture and left off the unused front vestibule another two sitting rooms one of which looks to be also used as a function room. There’s a combined gents/ladies/disabled/baby change in the front vestibule although there are standard lavs off the front room but blocked but furniture. Three pulls on the main counter; a house badged beer (Theakstons Best), Taylors Landlord and an unclipped third stump. A spread of solos has a better than average keg selection, not “craft” but OK, the cask quality is better than average. No screens except a large pull down one, a machine in a corner and the piped music was heavy duty reggae to go with the jolly barman’s hairdo. Odd eclectic bunch of punters even on my late afternoon visit. The hours on the Camras site are very wrong and even has internal inconsistencies between the description, stated opening hours and food hours ! Google appears accurate on the hours.
