Another great local pub, a one roomer with 5 national beers including a sublime Bass. Not exciting to beer nerds but a fine pub nonetheless.

When i first went in the Morning Star it was a Manns tied house with some pretty dire beer on the bar.
This is another Lincoln pub that me and the wife visit every time we come to Lincoln.
Once inside there is a main bar room which runs the width of the pub,the serving bar is to the right, the seating is bench type and normal tables and chairs, there was a nice real fire roaring away to the left.
There is a smaller lounge to the rear right which is square shaped, the seating in this room is comfy bench type and small stools,we had a few drinks in this room on our recent visit.
There were four real ales on the bar,we had a couple of drinks of Taylor Golden Best which went down a treat in a really nice pub,the other beers were Bass,Black Sheep bitter and Moorhouse Ice Witch.
Decent hot food is available,we had cheese and ham toasties which were very nice, cobs were also on the bar,sky tv was showing football score updates.
There was a good mix of customers in.
All in all a great pub,one we could have stayed in all night.

This is a detached pub with rear beer patio area. A simple Georgian/Victorian looking brick cottage-styled building with side extension it has a Play School look to it with its four former rounded sash windows (now modern), if the entrance was not just off-centre.

The interior has three areas. You walk into the main bar where the serving bar faces you. It is an L-shaped room with light green and olive green walls and a red tile floor, with red seats and stools. It has a brick fire and some brasses dotted about, as well as old photos and a few prints on the walls (along with jubilee stuff). There is a side area to the right for dining. There is a TV here, but this wasn't on as there was a charity event going on with a guy playing your choice of vinyl singles from his impressive collection for a donation - cracking stuff. There is a snug at the back in the same decor, just with a carpet. It too has a brick fire, a TV (not on) and mirrors and prints on the walls. The service was friendly and it was rammed with regulars.

Beer; usual tap stuff with 6 real ales on handpull; Deuchars IPA, Ruddles County, Wells Bombardier, Bass, Wadworth Red, White & Blue and a decent Timothy Taylor Golden Best MILD.

A really nice community pub. A wide choice of beer, even if some are more generic, with a decent quality. A single pint stop-off doesn't do it justice.

A great little pub this one, quite small inside, with bar running along the front as you walk in. Seating in front of the bar and to the right and left, and a small snug with open fire at the back. It also has a beer garden. This is a proper local's pub, it was well run and very clean. 6 ales on handpump, Abbot, Bombardier, Deuchars, Ruddles. I went for the TT Golden Best and the Bass, which were both very well kept. Will call again.
