Pleasant village local with three rooms, it was gearing up for a birthday party at the time of my visit. Maybe that's why the music was a bit loud and of poor quality. Maybe not - those speakers don't look like they're capable of anything better. Luckily the beer is of a better standard. Four hand pumps with two from Bateman's, plus Tribute and Ghost Ship. My XB was really good (NBSS 3.5) and service was friendly.

My friends and I visit this pub on a regular basis and are never disappointed with the effort. It is easily reached by using the Connect 100 bus, it drops off & picks up at the top of the street outside the church. The pub is Grafters Brewery brewery tap & has at least 4 of their beers on at all times, along with 4 other guest beers. Brewery trips are available and are very good value. A trip around the brewery Fish, Chips 7 peas & 2hrs free drinking of any Grafters beer for £20 a head.As previously stated by Stuart it can get really busy at times but the locals are friendly and dont bite.

For years one of the best pubs in the area and now home to the Grafters Brewery. Run by a friendly, enthusiastic landlord, Phil Troop, who lives and breathes real ale. Good, home cooked, no nonsense food, and is well known for the fish and chip suppers served Thurs evening to Sat lunch, eat in or take away.
4 Grafters ales, 3 guests, and a Batemans ale on the bar, always in tip top condition.
Be warned, can get very busy at week ends for the reasons mentioned above.
