The Mill was closed when I walked past on a recent Wednesday afternoon, but later in the evening I found it open on my way back to the Premier Inn around the corner, so decided to have a nightcap. The serving counter across the rear faces a flagstone bar area where low background music could be heard. Seating for dining runs up the left and there a fireplace with burner on the right-hand wall. Premium keg was available alongside Carling and three of the four hand pumps were in use drawing Bateman’s XB, XXXB and Victory Ale. This was a handy stop off, but I wouldn’t purposely walk out of town to revisit.
