Clearly built to service the estates - both housing and industrial - that comprise the immediate area (WhatPub says 1980s). Much better than expected in the circumstances, it's been kept well and the inside retains a decent amount of pub character with exposed brick, tiled floor and wood trim over a couple of rooms, partially wrapped round the central servery. Pool, darts, sports TV up against music. No cask so a half of a decent Guinness. Shame there was no cask, as this one was better than anticipated. 5.5
