Located in an area of peak Land Rover, so much so that there was even a branded one outside the pub. Bar is to the right as you enter with many tables set for dining, as well as an actual restaurant to the left. Varnished wood floor and undressed sandstone walls – upmarket rustic. A lovely rear patio garden would have been my seat of choice but we ended-up chatting to a couple of locals out the front who were all ears about our challenge. Three ales on; Bass (warm and the first out for a fair while), Grainstore Tenfifty and a house ale of unknown provenance. The highlight was when the landlord appeared and gave some gratis freshly baked bread from the oven, a rather lovely touch that cost little but gave us a lot of cheer. Whilst as a pub it left me feeling a bit ‘so what’, the hospitality means I must be generous overall, quid pro quo and all that.

The George and Dragon is a nice looking stone built pub and once inside there were two rooms the main bar was on the left this had normal tables and chairs and was quite comfortable.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Grainstore Ten Fifty and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Adnams bitter and Taylor Landlord.
I quite liked this pub and it had a proper pub feel to it,well worth the visit.
