Quinno _ left this review about Boot & Shoe
A traditional local tucked away off the main road and in the heart of the old village, overlooked by the church spire (which made for a lovely minute or so well the bells tolled in the late evening). Sort of L shaped inside, with a well-worn feel and little in the way of alteration over the last 40 years. Two pumps on the go with the Doom Bar and Cheshire Westwood, the latter of which was a good pint in good nick. Friendly barman who was good for chat. Perhaps not a destination pub in Rutland for sure, but an enjoyable local that’s worth stopping by for.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Boot & Shoe
The Boot and Shoe is in the centre of the village.
There were two rooms in this pub the main bar was at the front this was carpeted and there was aslo a raised area to the right which had a pool table on it and there was some doors that lead to another room that was more like a lounge and this had a TV switched on but the room was empty.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Taylor Landlord and this was a decent drink the other beer was John Smiths cask.
This pub seemed unalterd inside and it had a decent atmosphere to it.
