This nice old stone-built village pub is now an Indian restaurant - Delhi 7 - though it advertises the availability of English food at lunchtimes and also functions as a pub. I was here on a Sunday evening, when I was the only customer and I'd already eaten. Trade was slow this evening because the new owners had only been there for about six weeks and previously the pub had not opened on Sunday evenings.
I was made very welcome and perched on one of the stools at the bar to drink my half of Milestone Lions Pride. The other hand pump had a similar fairly bland golden beer whose name I neglected to make a note of. My Pride was in reasonable condition, but not a beer I would go out of my way for. I was assured that drinkers were always welcome, but the fact that every table was covered with a large white table cloth and set with glasses and cutlery would put most drinkers off, if it didn't make them feel obliged to order some food.
