A fairly typical town centre pubco pub, ruthlessly modernised to squeeze out almost any last vestige of character. Replace with dodgy paint jobs and flooring, add in some screens, machines and piped music. Serve the usual cheap and mainly nasty national keg brands, add a pool table or in this case one in the front raised area alongside a dart board and one more at the back in a space marked “The Lion’s Den”. It retains the side coach entrance and yard but it’s a beer garden now.
