Old Boots left this review about Generous Briton
Back street locals pub, likely an older building with 20th century stone additions. A single square room inside with an odd lump by the counter on the right. Lots of empty floor space with taller tables and chairs dotted about. No cask, all the favourites are there on two T-bars and Stella and Madri on solos. There’s a dart board in one corner, a pool table at the back and screens all over. Young and older working lads as punters.

Solid looking place. Inside is a bit of a barn set for discos, live music and blokes going “MWEEARRRGGHH”, playing pool and watching Top Gear. Decor at least decent. No cask, so a Guinness it was, served-up by a friendly barman.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Generous Briton
The 'Genny B' proclaims itself to be "Melton's No 1 live music venue", and there is certainly little inside the bar apart from a pool table and a nominal amount of furniture. Very quiet when I stopped by early on a Saturday afternoon, but I was impressed by the barman taking the opportunity to give the woodwork around the counter a good clean. Just Jennings Cumberland (£3.00) from the pair of handpumps, but that was a bonus since it was one more real ale than I was expecting.
