Interesting thatched roof building with some inlaid beams, so presumably of some age. Bit of an odd one inside, has been weirdly whacked-through in a fairly unsatisfactory manner. There's a fairly decent island room (showing TV rugby) off-left from the sparse and bereft bar area. When you enter there is just the one cask on view but others are available right round the corner. Naff snot green paint but better third length wood wainscoting and pub carpet. Marstons list, with Pedigree and Banks Amber on, the latter (NBSS 3.5) though it’s now a poor brew which now tastes of farts. Didn’t see over-much to prompt a return visit, felt a bit odd. 5.5

The Shambles is a large thatched pub that is on Lutterworths market place.
Once inside there was a small drinking area at the front and another room to the right,we went to the left which took us into a large bar which ran to the rear of the pub,the room had a stone floor and a beamed ceiling, the seating was bench type with normal tables and chairs, there was a pool table to the rear of this room.
The pub is a Marstons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Banks's bitter which was a nice enough drink, the other beer was Pedigree.
The pub was fairly quiet on our late Saturday afternoon visit,i thought this was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.
