Classic down-at-heel Marstons pub. There’s two rooms - a small lounge in darkness and a much larger public bar which smelt of dogs, was painted grey and needed a fundamental refresh. Only two other customers, unsurprisingly. Union bunting everywhere including the barmaid who was sporting Union flag deeleyboppers for reasons unknown. Three pumps with two cask on, Pedigree and Hobgoblin Gold - the Pedi was actually pretty good (NBSS 3) and cobs were available, so it’s not all bad. 4.5

This pub was known locally as the bottom Railway and was a Marstons tied house when i first went in it.
