Easily spotted on approach, as someone has enterprisingly painted the pub’s name on the roof tiles in white. Rather nice place that's comfy and mildly modern, opened-out a bit but retains separate areas. There’s also access to the Thurcaston Deli Farm Shop – not sure if this is run by the pub or is a leased concession. Main bar has walnut coloured beams and panelling, red pub carpet and leaded windows for the traditionalists like me. Two Everards cask, Tiger and Sunchaser. Sadly the latter was musty (NBSS 2) so as I had time to kill before the bus - and a pot plant nearby - I tipped it and had a much better (surprise!) Tiger (3). I liked the pub, shame the cask wasn't the best. I’d give it another go. 6.5
