Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Lion
Two-part staple-shaped bar along the frontage, divided into dining and general seating areas. Both parts have been given a semi-modern refurbishment at some stage, as has the front patio beer garden. Just Landlord (£5.60) on the single handpump.

Komakino . left this review about The Lion
This picturesque village is now no more than a drive-through between Aylesbury and Bicester with just the two remaining pubs - this and The Long Dog flying the flag. Unprepossessing from the front, this is actually a bit of a rambling building internally, with a small equal L-shaped bar area, leading onto the facilities, car park and accommodation. The bar area is sufficiently spacious, clean and to the point, with standard tables and chair (bar a couple of "mini" settles) and there's some exposed brick on the walls which I'm sure the original designers never intended. The two ales available were Fuller's London Pride and Hook Norton Hooky Gold, the latter of which, at £4.30 for a pint, wouldn't be out of place in the central reaches of London, and one wonders whether this place is trading on its proximity to the Rothschilds' former pile.
