60s pub built to serve the City Council's Braunstone Frith Estate and the exterior is in good order. The main bar is a wide open space with snaking blue leatherette banquettes being the only thing of mild note bar the pool table. Looked to be another room behind but didn't go exploring. Limited range (no cask, inevitably), though I was mildly surprised to see Theako Mild on keg. Decided to play safe with a Murphy's which was pretty decent. Friendly enough service from a gravelly-voiced matriarch and jacket potatoes on offer, a novelty.
