Situated on the main Leicester road, rather than in the village. It's a quasi-Desi and the only cask available was Tribute which made me wonder, but it was really good (NBSS 4) and another couple of locals were on it as well. Barman a bit taciturn. The inside isn't much to write home about, white and turquoise, modern laminate floor with a mish-mash of furnishings plus a modern style conservatory (I did spot black mould on the staircase leading upstairs to private quarters though…) But a good pint is a good pint, so that’s a bonus. 5.5

The Rose and Crown is a large roadhouse type pub there is alarge conservatory added to the left hand side of the pub i think this is more of a dining area,the older part of the pub is more for drinkers and this was quite a pleasant and comfortable place to sit in there were two real ales on the bar these were Parish Best Bitter which was very good the other beer was Pedigree this is a fairly decent pub.NOTE a sign in the pub says it opens at 9 am Saturday morning for drinks and there is also a chip shop opposite the pub.
