What's happened to the breakfast??? I love this hotel and the dining room is quaint and lovely and the breakfast used to be limitless amounts of continenal style buffet which attracted us to stay there after our 500 mile journey from Aberdeen - several times a year over 7 years... but NOW all you get is a very sparce plastic bag of offerings including a chocolate muffin (???), which is given out the night before. It is ridiculous not to promote the beautiful inn during during breakfast time... Many people used to have lunch or dinner in the dining room after seeing the facility in the morning (meals and staff are LOVELY), but trying to balance a plastic bag of nothingness on your lap in your room doesn't have the same affect! I love this hotel, but the novelty will have worn off for us if the breakfasts don't return to the way they were. Sad.

The Red Cow is known in Leicester and across Leicestershire as a fine country pub. We are near the city centre of Leicester. There is always a warm welcome with roaring log fires, freshly prepared food, a good selection of real ales and a wine menu for you to choose from.

This has become a populat place recently. It's part of a chain [Vintage Inns] and gets a lot of trade from its adjoining motel, who are lucky to have it on the doorstep! Batemans XXXB is always on plus a guest beer, inevitably in good condition. Mainly a dining pub now, but you're not made unwelcome if not eating. Worth a visit if you're passing by on the A47
